The Bowen Technique
Bowen is a dynamic series of gentle and relaxing cross-fibre moves at specific locations over muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissue. These movements activate the body’s own healing resources to initiate a change in the balance in the body, bringing its own healing abilities back into action. It results in fast and lasting relief from pain and discomfort. There is no forceful manipulation.
Bowen is considered safe to use on anyone, from newborns to the elderly and infirm, as well as for a wide range of conditions.
Some conditions that have responded favourably to The Bowen Technique include:
- Back pain and sciatica
- Digestive and bowel problems including IBS
- Earache, ear infections and jaw pain

- Groin pain, pelvic tilt and uneven leg length
